The Kiwi Hero offer will see a huge number of healthcare professionals stay connected with friends and family for less, with discounted pay-monthly mobile plans ranging from $34 to $60 per month.
The deal is open to nurses, midwives, nursing assistants, aged care workers, community support caregivers, and orderlies. Teachers, first responders and members of the military are also eligible.
Chief of Consumer at 2degrees, Scott Taylor, says nurses are among the unsung heroes of our society.
“We wanted to give back to the people who are at the front line looking after our families.”
“Never before has this been more important. They are the unsung heroes who often miss out on special moments, are heading to work as we head home, and regularly work on the public holidays that the rest of us look forward to taking off.”
“These Kiwi heroes have touched the lives of New Zealanders all around the country. We’ve launched this plan to help them stay in touch with friends and family for less, no matter where they are. It’s just another way we’re fighting for fair on behalf of Kiwis – something we’ve been doing since we launched 10 years ago.”
To sign up for a plan, new and existing customers simply need to visit a 2degrees store with their occupational identification, with store staff taking care of the rest.
