INsite has double movie passes are up for grabs! That’s right, thanks to Vendetta Films we are offering your residents the chance to see Winter at Westbeth – a gorgeous documentary film about a unique retirement community in New York, released 27th April.

“Many want to live here, but only a few may do so – the lucky ones.”

So begins the trailer to Winter at Westbeth  – a beautiful documentary film about a retirement community in New York City whose focus is on ‘ageing creatively’.

In 1966, the Westbeth building was purchased to create 385 rent-controlled apartments for artists to live and work. It is known as Westbeth Artists’ Housing, which is essentially a retirement community that has grown organically.

The documentary focuses on three Westbeth residents and their individual creative endeavours. One is a dancer, one a poet and one a film-maker. Their stories are bound to resonate with older Kiwis – particularly those with a passion for the arts.

The film will be released in New Zealand cinemas on 27th April.

Vendetta Films marketing coordinator Rupert Abraham thinks the film will be a hit with retirement villages and those in the arts community. A special screening of Winter at Westbeth could be the ideal activity or outing for a group of residents.

If your retirement village is interested in arranging a special screening of Winter at Westbeth, or arranging giveaways for your residents to see the film, please get in touch with Rupert Abraham of Vendetta Films at Rupert@vendettafilms.co.nz.
