The annual Excellence in Care Awards, which began in 2007, recognise the continuous pursuit of providing excellence in care by aged residential care facilities and their staff. They are open to all New Zealand Aged Care Association (NZACA) members.
These awards recognise excellence in two categories: the first being that of a care facility or a particular aspect of running a care facility, and the second being individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the lives of the people they care for and those they work with.
Within these categories there are awards for excellence in food, community connections, training and staff development, innovative delivery, and legendary service, and other areas. For the full list of awards and more information including entry nomination forms please click here.
An overall winner is selected from these categories.
Judging will be done by an independent panel of judges and the winners will be announced at the NZACA/EBOS awards ceremony and the ASB gala dinner at Te Papa in Wellington on Wednesday, 23 October 2019.
All entries are due by Wednesday, 28 August 2019 and must be delivered together with any supporting documentation in hard copy to the NZACA office in Wellington.
The winners in each award category will receive a trophy, certificate plus a prize valued at $1000 from the sponsors, and the overall winner will receive a trophy and a prize to the value of $5000.
