Event Details

The New Zealand public health workforce consists of more than 20,000 people, including public health doctors and nurses, health promoters, health protection officers, researchers, policy analysts, managers and more. This diverse workforce is brought together by a desire to promote and protect the wellbeing of all New Zealanders.

The conference focus is on values and connections across place and environments, people and communities, and knowledge and wellbeing. There is something for everyone, with topics ranging from housing quality and health, water, health screening and monitoring, minimising risks to health, children’s health, wellbeing promotion and indigenous leadership. Our thought-provoking plenary speakers will take a deep look at a few key areas-take a look at the plenary speaker bios and our full programme.

The annual conference attracts around 300 leaders from New Zealand and beyond. Delegates will gather, share and learn about how we can collectively impact on social and environmental issues in creating healthier communities across New Zealand.
